Open CPD in your dashboard to keep your professional learning in one place. Your CPD records belong to your account. Other practitioners in your practice cannot view them.
Set up your tracker
The first time you open CPD, click Set up CPD on the empty page to open setup. Choose BACP, NCPS, UKCP or HCPC, then enter your reporting dates.
Set Reporting year starts to match your membership dates. For UKCP, also set Five-year cycle starts to your reaccreditation cycle. For HCPC, set Two-year cycle starts to your registration period. Click Start tracking to save your choices and open your tracker.
If you close setup before saving, click Set up CPD on the empty page to return. The empty page stays until you save; setup only opens when you click the button. If you used CPD before this setup was introduced, confirm your body and dates once; your existing activities are kept.
Change your settings
Click CPD settings to change your professional body or reporting dates, then click Save settings. Bloom saves each body’s dates separately and restores them when you select that body again. You use the same activity log across all four bodies.
Your progress appears at the top of the tracker, followed by activities in the selected reporting period.
Understand your progress
Progress helps you review your records. Reaching an hours target does not confirm that you meet every professional requirement. Your body assesses the relevance, quality and evidence of your learning.
Record an activity
Click Add activity to open the activity modal. Enter its title, date, duration in minutes and learning type. You can also record the provider or organiser. Scroll within the form to reach reflections and evidence; Save activity and Cancel stay visible.
Choose from Work-based learning, Professional activity, Formal / educational or Self-directed learning. These categories help you review the variety of your learning; you do not need an equal number in each category.
Use the reflection fields to record:
- Learning need — why you chose the activity and what you wanted to develop.
- Learning outcomes — what you learnt.
- Impact on practice — how the learning changed or improved your work.
- Benefit to clients — how it benefits the people you support.
Click Save activity. You can save before finishing every reflection and return to complete it later. Recording text in each field does not assess the quality of your reflection.
Keep reflections focused on your learning. Leave out client names and identifiable clinical details.
Review and manage activities
Your activities are grouped by month. Each row shows its date, title, learning type, provider when recorded, duration and reflection status. Search by title or provider to find an activity.
Click an activity’s title to expand its reflections and supporting evidence. Click Edit reflections to open the activity modal and update the record.
Open the activity’s actions menu to choose Edit activity, Copy activity or Delete activity. If you choose to delete, confirm with Delete activity beneath the row or click Keep activity to cancel.
Record supervision accurately
Select This activity was clinical supervision for a supervision session. A training course about supervision is a learning activity; it is not itself a supervision session.
Bloom excludes flagged supervision from BACP and NCPS CPD totals. It remains in your log. UKCP’s national guidance includes supervision, but your college or accrediting organisation may apply different eligibility rules. In CPD settings, select Exclude supervision for my college or organisation and click Save settings if your UKCP policy requires this. HCPC allows relevant learning through supervision as part of your wider record.
This tracker does not assess whether your supervision arrangements meet your professional body’s separate supervision requirements.
Keep evidence references
Add an Evidence reference to describe a certificate, notes or another supporting record. You can add an Evidence link to material stored elsewhere.
Evidence files are not uploaded or stored through the CPD form. Keep the original evidence securely and make sure you can access it when needed.
Prepare your records for review
Choose Copy activity from an activity’s actions menu to copy its details. Click Export records to download a CSV for your selected body and period. Review your dates, reflections and evidence before using them to prepare a submission.
For UKCP, click Export five-year cycle to include the full reaccreditation period. Exports identify the selected body, reporting dates and guidance version. They retain supervision records and show when those hours are excluded from the selected body’s indicator.
BACP requires its own CPD hub or template format. HCPC asks selected registrants for a practice summary, dated activity list, personal statement and supporting evidence. A Bloom export helps you prepare those materials; it does not submit them or replace the required format.
Read the current requirements
Guidance checked on 21 September 2026. Follow your professional body’s latest instructions, including any requirements specific to your membership category, college or accrediting organisation.
